Herménégilde Chiasson
The Honorable Herménégilde Chiasson is a Canadian artist born in 1946 with Saint-Simon in Acadie. It was in turn Poète, Dramaturge, Réalisateur, painter… It is a multidisciplinary artist who carried out about fifteen films, launched ten books, exposed in many galleries and writes more than one about thirty dramatic texts.
In 2003, it was named lieutenant-governor of the New Brunswick by Jean Chrétien.
Rewards
It received twice the Prix France-Acadie.- 1995 - Price of poetry Terraces Saint-Sulpice
- Doctorate honoris causa of the University of Moncton.
