Herbaria

the Herbaria is a common French, located in the department of the the Vendée and the area Pays of the Loire.

Its inhabitants is called herbretais them.

Geography

Located in the department of the Vendée, the city of the Herbaria is classified in the first 5 cities of the department. Capital of North East or the scrap-metal, the city is expanding constant. Years 1960 saw a great upheaval, that of the reunification of three boroughs: Herbaria, the Small Borough and Ardelay. Thus, the commune one of is extended from the Vendée. Road level, the city is served by D160 (in the past N160) and by the exit n°29 of A87. This toll is also composed of a surface village which accommodates a presentation of the local products. The Mont of the Larks is located on the commune of the Herbaria, the city extends to its feet. It is crossed by the Grande Maine.

History

With its first ages, the city of the Herbaria was HERBAUGES. It drew this baptism from luxuriant and plentiful vegetation. When César had conquered Gaulle, he delegated to camp on the hill of “Corn Bleaches on grass some” the Alouette legion, which was going to leave its wake and its name of war to the Mount of the Larks.

At the 12th century, Herbaria by marriage in the " family; De Foucher" until 1479, date on which one finds " Guerin of the Dovecotes, lords of Herbiers". The last Guerin lords of the Herbaria having dissipated his fortune with the plays, the châtellenie of the Herbaria was sold in 1550, for half with the " family; Mesnard, lords of Toucheprès" , whereas other half passes by marriage to Monseigneur Antoine of Roland, knight and lords of the Herbaria. Francois, wire of Antoine of Roland brought his half in dowry at the time of the marriage of his daughter with one Of $the Hague - Gangway, lord of Godelinière, then always by marriage this half passed to Boexon of Martinière, finally, in 1725, in the Jordan of Hermitans.

Mesnard de Toucheprès sold their half in 1620 with the family of Plantis, already lord of Rochetemer, Landreau, Guyonnière, and the Small-borough-of-Herbaria. finally in 1710 and by marriage, in Jousbert of Landreau.

Herbretais are illustrated on the seas of the sphere, and become famous and dreaded admirals of marine of Royal, following the example admiral of the Herbaria of Etenduère.

It is with the castle of the Herbaria that the Vendean generals choose Cart as supreme leader of the large army Catholique and Royal. The City counts more 10.000 employment, nearly 150 companies of more than 8 paid and an unemployment rate exceptionnellemnt low of 4,3% .

Since the Seventies, the Herbretaise economy makes fulgurating great strides, and that thanks to the marriage gaining between a multitude of innovating SME, and large companies. Surprisingly, the common one counts on its territory of many head offices of companies of national and international size: nautical building sites Jeanneau, world leader in the construction of pleasure boats, the Briand Group, leader in the construction of metal frontages and windows aluminum (K.Line), CWF, leader in clothing for child (Timberland, DKNY…), The Baker, leader in the viennoisery, Euralis, national leader in the foie gras… This rise is accompanied by a significant commercial development around four poles: the shopping mall Hyper U, the Leclerc shopping mall, the zone of Buzenière (with its 6 stores of factory and soon a village of the marks of 19 shops ), and on the district Quartet. The Herbaria wants to be a city open on Europe and the world. In the many exchanges and partnerships testify which have been woven for several years between associations herbretaises (AJCAH, Tembo, JM' Sohati…)and of the adjoining countries or more distances like Togo, Burkina Faso or China.

Sports

In 2006, the City of the Herbaria counted 45 clubs joining together more than 4.300 bachelors, gathered within the Municipal Office of the Sports. All the disciplines are represented, the sports of teams ( foot, volleyball, tennis shoe, hand, Rugby…) like individual ( swimming, horsemanship, athletics, climbing, fencing, martial arts and sports of combat… ).

Today, the City of the Herbaria profits from many equipment, of which synthetic football field last generation. Investments which accompany the good performances by the clubs evolving/moving at the national level (tennis shoe, foot, volleyball, hand and billiards), and athletes herbretais who illustrate themselves with the international level.

But the sport with the Herbaria can also create the event, each October, with the Stopwatch of the Nations, the reference world of the against-the-watch allied to a large trade fair, and the Vendée Roller Marathon.
