Hentchak
The left social democrat Hunchakian , so known under the name of Hentchak , is the one of oldest Armenian political parties . It is cofondé in 1887 by Avetis Nazarbekian, Mariam Vardanian, Gevorg Gharadjian, Ruben Khan-Azat, Christopher Ohanian, Gabriel Kafian and Manuel Manuelian, a group of students Genevese, with for goal to gain the independence of Arménie of the Ottoman Empire, and is belonged to the Armenian liberation movement national. Its name, taken since the title of a newspaper, means bell in French.
The party played a part in the establishment of the Democratic republic of Arménie, part of its members were present at the time of the Bataille of Sardarapat to defend Erevan of the Othoman Armée with Islam.
