Henschel Hs 123
The Henschel Hs 123 was the last Sesquiplan of combat of Luftwaffe. The apparatus answered a program of Luftwaffe for a fighter plan suited to the dive bombing.
It was built entirely out of metal (a scarcity for a sesquiplane, even for the time) and had rather massive forms. It made its first flight on April 1st, 1935 and the first standard appliances integrated Luftwaffe into the autumn 1936.
It integrated the units of hunting only during one very short period and was built only with 260 specimens during one year, because of its obsolete design and the nearest arrival of hunters to the more promising performances (such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109).
It was thus especially employed like plane of attack and Bombardier in piqué, in particular during the beginning of the second world war, at the time of the campaigns of Poland, of France and during the first combat in Russia. Obsolete, it was then transferred at the schools of dive bombing. it is it should be noted that several escadrilles of the lufwaffe on the face of the east officially demanderent to reactivate the assembly lines of this plane stopees before war: indeed, that Ci was very appreciates by the crews for his robustness, returning has good port in spite of severe dommages.il had a good precision for the attack on the ground. but its weapon secretes was its engine!! .celui Ci launched in surrégime made a noise which resembled has an artillery stopping demoralizing for the troops attaquees! thus a unit of t34 Russian is enlise in a marsh while trying to flee a " attaque" orchestree by of Henschel has court of ammunition.
