Henry de Lesquen

Henri de Lesquen of Plessis Casso , more known under the name of Henry de Lesquen , was born on January 1st 1949 with Port-Lyautey (Morocco), married and father of five children. Politician and French senior official, he is president of Radio courtesy since the death of Jean Ferré in October 2006.

Biography

Resulting from a former Breton family installed with Versailles since 1809 whose members often were with the service of the State, Henry de Lesquen took part in the public life by continuing in parallel a career of senior official. He was pupil of the Polytechnic school (1968-1971), and the National school of administration (promotion Simone Weil, 1971-1974), and followed studies of economic scenes.

In 1974, it cofonde the Club of the Clock, of which he is the president since 1985.

From 1978 to 1987, it was university lecturer of economy to the Institut of political studies of Paris, then civil Administrateur in ministries (equipment, industry, finances) and with the direction of great administrations.

It was also named by Jacques Chirac (then mayor of the city) directing administrative of the OPAC of Paris.

Initially member of the Gathering for the Republic, it leaves this party in 1985, but, contrary to Bruno Mégret and Jean-Yves Gallou, does not adhere to the National front. It is however in favor of a “union” between the line of government and the FN, i.e. a true alliance programming science and governmental, as it explained it, in particular, at the time of the annual university of the club, the 17 to the October 19th 1997. It accordingly creates the Associative movement for the Union of right-hand side (MAUD), in 1998.

In June 2000, it creates the Union for the revival of Versailles (URV), from which he is the president, who gathers the Versaillais elected officials on the right of UMP at the municipal council.

In 2001, it leads a right list various to the municipal election of March 2001 to Versailles and becomes city council man of opposition. He becomes also president of “Voice of the French - Rebirth 95”, association “independent of any political party, for a resolution of our problems of immigration”.

In the daily newspaper Release of the January 14th 2006, it is defined like “today near to Philippe de Villiers, yesterday of Bruno Mégret”. It took part besides in the Summer school 2006 of the Mouvement for France, with Guidel, in the Morbihan.

Following the death the October 10th 2006 of Jean Shoed, founder of Radio Courtesy, it took the direction of this station where it also animates a Libre weekly Newspaper (Monday with 18:00). The trade union of the owners of Courtoisie radio program undertook an legal action to deposit it. The board of directors of Radio Courtesy “re-elected it” president of the radio unanimously (2 abstentions out of 5 votes). Its new mandate began on July 13rd, 2007.
