Henry II Sinclair
Henry II Sinclair (death in 1420), was Count of the Orkneys of 1400 with 1420.
Henri II Sinclair is the son of the count Henry Sinclair (killed in 1400). We do not know the year of its birth but it is estimated that it was to have between 25 and 30 years at the time of the disparation of his father.
He ensured the succession of his father at the same time like vassal of king d' Ecosse for his county of Caithness and like Count of the Orkneys and " Admiral of Mers" under the suzerainty of the queen Marguerite Anger of Denmark and Norway.
Henry was captured by English at the time of the Scottish defeat of Homildon Hill in September 1402 and remained a few times in captivity.
After its release because of its great experiment of sailor it was charged in April 1406 by the king Robert III of Scotland to lead in safety in France its young person wire and heir the future Jacques Ier to Scotland. The ship was captured by English during crossed and Henry spent a few additional years in captivity.
Released it found Scotland before taking part with French in 1415 in disastrous the Bataille of Azincourt.
Henry Sinclair turned over definitively in Scotland and could maintain to his independence between his two suzerains the regent of Scotland Robert Stuart (duke of Albany) and the sovereign of the Union of North Eric de Poméranie.
Henry II Sinclair died of the Peste in 1420.

William Sinclair born towards 1404 and died towards 1480 which resigned in favor of the Scottish crown its county of the the Orkneys in 1471.
