Henry February

Henry February (October 2nd 1875 - July 6th 1957) is a Compositeur French.

He studied with the Conservatoire of Paris with Pugno, Leroux, Massenet and Fauré. He was also the pupil of André Messager.

He composed in particular of the melody S, the parts for piano and works of Chamber music. But it is with its operas that he was his greater successes: the King plugs (1906), Monna Vanna (1909), Carmosine (1913), Gismonda (1919), the Damnation of Blanchefleur (1920), the disillusioned Island (1925), Oletta, the girl of Corsica (1927), the Nude woman (1929) and Sylvette (Opérette in collaboration with Marc Delmas, 1932).

He is the son of the architect Jules February and the father of the pianist Jacques February.
