Henry Evans Maude
Henry Evans Maude (1906-) is an anthropologist and known British civil servant under the name of Harry Maude or H.E. Maude.
Educated to Cambridge, Harry Maude spent the years 1829 to 1948 as civil servant and high-civil servant in several Pacific Islands, in particular in the colony of the islands Gilbert and Ellice. He worked with the Commission of the Southern Pacific of 1948 to 1957, by continuing his research Gilbertin are. Its work is preserved by the university of Adelaide in Australia.
