Henry Dodwell
François Minnow Duverger de Forbonnais (October 3rd 1722 with the Mans - September 19th 1800 with Paris), Financial economist and French.
He made known himself as of 1750 by memories full with wise sights on the administration of finances: was named in 1756 general inspector of the currencies, was placed in 1759 near the general inspector Etienne de Silhouette, and had the principal merit of the useful reforms which opera this minister; but it was not long in being isolated businesses speak intrigues about Madam de Pompadour. It was withdrawn in its grounds and devoted its leisures to the composition of its works.
He was also director of the Journal of agriculture, the trade and finances in the years 1760.
At the time of the convocation of the General states of 1789, it wrote the book of the nobility of the Maine, then worked several months in the committee of finances of the constituent Assembly.
It was called with the Institut of France as of its foundation.
