General Sir Henry Clinton, (April 16th 1738 - December 23rd 1795), general British.

After having been used in the war as America (1775), under John Burgoyne and William Howe, it ordered as a chief. He entered to New York, seized Rhode Island and Charlestovra, but he tested then reverses though he had succeeded in corrupting the American general Arnold, and was pointed out (1781). II in 1795 died, being governor of Gibraltar. It published in 1784 Réflexions on the war of America .
