Henry Bessemer

Sir Henry Bessemer (1813, Charlton, Hertfordshire - 1898, London) is an industrialist and British metallurgist .

Author of multiple inventions, it is especially known by the process of industrial refining of the cast iron to manufacture Acier (1855) which bears its name and which was essential everywhere because of its weak cost price. Its invention was the starting point of the massive industrial production of steel.

It built with Sheffield large factories to apply its methods to it.

He wrote his memories which were published under the title " Sir Henry Bessemer, F.R.S, year autobiography"
