Henry Bernard

Henry Bernard , born with Albertville the February 21st 1912 and dead the December 10th 1994, is a Architecte and Urbaniste French.

Architect graduate by the government (DPLG) in 1938 and First Grand Prix of Rome, Henry Bernard becomes general inspector of the civil Building industries and palates national, town planner as a chief of the town of Grenoble then of the Parisian Workshop of town planning (APUR) and foreman to the 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of the fine arts of Paris. He is elected member of the Académie of the Art schools in 1968.

He takes part in the Reconstruction of Caen after the Second world war (Saint-Julien church, university, university hospital) under the direction of Marc Brillaud de Laujardière. He is also the architect of the Maison de Radio France in Paris, of the prefecture of the Val-d'Oise, the university hospitals of Tours and Grenoble, and of the palate of Europe of the the Council of Europe to Strasbourg.
