Henriot
Henri Maigrot (1857 Toulouse - 1933 Nesles-the-Valley) was a literary man, draftsman and French caricaturist known under the pseudonym of Henriot or Pit .
He is the father of the poet Emile Henriot.
After studies of right, it is intended for the public office. In 1925 it founds with Laurent Tailhade the Echo of the Trouveres a literary weekly magazine of Toulouse.
In 1890, he becomes director of the newspaper the Hullabaloo then replaces Draner with the Illustration, where he will collaborate until 1931. He also provides drawings to the Journal Amusing and the Almanach Vermot.
Near to friends musicians, it will compose of the poems like Lettre in Ninon put in music by Paul Delmet or Chanson for it by Jules Massenet. He collaborates in the Review Pleyel as from February 1925 by providing a heading with drawings the anecdotic Music which becomes in 1926 the musical month
January 23rd, 1915 it created the satirical newspaper the Bayonet.
He is the author of immortal “the How are you yau of stove ?” appeared in the Vermot Almanac.
