Dynastic claims
Henri of Orleans is regarded by his partisans as legitimate successor of the kings of France and of Navarre under the name of “Henri VII”, which is disputed by the legitimists, as for them in favor of Louis de Bourbon, which carries the to him Titer of courtesy of “duke of Anjou”. The latter assert in particular nullity of the renunciations made at the time of the treated of Utrecht (1713) by Philippe de France, ancestor direct of Louis de Bourbon. They deny in Henri of Orleans the full weapons of France as well as the titles of “count de Paris” and “Duc of France”. While the partisans of this last consider that the Bourbons resulting from Philippe V, king d' Espagne, lost straight to the throne of France, under the terms of a “defect of peregrinity”.
Disputed weapons of France
Henri of Orleans makes use of the full weapons of France (“of azure with three flowers of gold lily”), French justice denied the right to him to dispute them with Louis Bourbon, “duke of Anjou” in 1989 without to prohibit the use of it to him.
Henri of Orleans was débouté by the French courts when he wanted to change his patronymic name of Orleans into “Bourbon”. It essuya a first refusal on March 29th, 2000 by an ordinance of the Court of Bankruptcy of Paris, confirmed refusal.
