Henri de Looz
Henri de Looz , dead the August 2nd 1218, was count de Looz during a few days in 1218. It was wire of Gerard II, count de Looz, and of Adelaide de Gueldre.
He was initially canon of Saint-Lambert with Liege, provost of Franciscains with Maastricht (1213), provost of Saint-Alexandre with Aschaffenbourg (1209). He gives up a clerical career shortly after and marries Mathilde de Vianden († 1241), widow of Lothaire, count de Hochstaden, and girl of Frederic II, count de Vianden. They did not have a child.
He became count de Hochstaden by his marriage, count de Duras in 1216. He succeeded the July 30th 1218 his brother Louis II, but died three days later, perhaps poisoned.
