Henri Vaugeois

Henri Vaugeois (1864 - 1916) was militant a Nationaliste French and the cofounder of the Revue French Action (1899) with Maurice Pujo.

Henri Vaugeois was initially a professor of left Philosophie of center , republican (moreover descendant of a conventional regicide). He belongs to a circle of intellectuals of left, l'" Union for the action morale" , which took party for the defense of the Capitaine Dreyfus.

At this time, by Nationalist Reaction , Henri Vaugeois and Maurice Pujo left this circle to found, on April 8th, 1898, the first Comité of French Action which will become the French Action. Charles Maurras adhered to this movement and converts its members with the monarchical idea. In 1908, the Revue French Action (monthly) changes name for the French Action and becomes a daily newspaper (under the direction of Maurras.

Vaugeois continued to contribute to the body of the " nationalism intégral" and, in the line germanophobe and revanchist of the movement monarchist, he denounced the Criticisme Kant and the profit of popularity of the German thought in France. To this current he opposes a Christian Morale and traditionalist. Several of its writings were published in a posthumous way by its fellow-members of AF.
