Henri V of Bavaria

Henri V of the Ardennes , died in 1026, was count in Luxembourg ( Henri Ier ) of 998 with 1026 and duke of Bavaria ( Henri V ) of 1004 with 1009 and of 1017 with 1026. It was wire of Sigefroy, count in Luxembourg, and of Hedwige de Nordgau.

He was also acknowledged abbeys Saint-Maximin of Truces and Saint-Willibrod of Echternach, loads which were transmitted hereditarily in the family of Luxembourg. He inherited his uncle, Giselbert, abbot of Saint-Hubert.

In 1004, it accepted from his/her brother-in-law the emperor Henri II the nomination of the duchy of Bavaria, with the Diet held in Ratisbon. It is scrambled in 1009 with the emperor, who withdraws the duchy to him, but it again receives it in 1017.

It Maria not, and its nephew Henri II succeeded to him, while Bavaria turned over to the Empire.
