Henri VII of Luxembourg (in German Heinrich VII. ), born towards 1275, was count de Luxembourg of 1288 with 1309, King of the Romans of 1308 with 1312 then, crowned by the cardinals mandés by the Pope with Saint Jean of Lateran the June 29th 1312, Germanic Roman Emperor until his death around His the August 24th 1313. It was wire of Henri VI of Luxembourg, count de Luxembourg, and of Beatrice d' Avesnes.

He married the June 9th 1292 Marguerite of the Brabant (1276 † 1311), girl of Jean Ier, duke of the Brabant and Marguerite of Flanders. They had:

  • Jean Ier the Blind man (1296 † 1346), count de Luxembourg and king de Bohême
  • Marie (1304 † 1324), married to 1322 with Charles IV (1295 † 1328), king de France
  • Beatrice (1305 † 1319), married in 1318 with Charles Robert (1288 † 1342), king de Hongrie

His/her son, Jean Ier, was elected king of Bohemia in 1310. Henri VII made then the voyage of Rome to receive the imperial crown, which had remained without holder since the death of Frederic II of Hohenstaufen. He intended to restore the glory of the Germanic Roman Holy roman Empire, and restored the imperial capacity in certain areas of Italy of north, vis-a-vis the resistance of the commune of Florence. However, it entered in quarrel with the Guelfes, in particular in the free cities of Toscane, and its authoritative manners caused the concern of the King of Naples Robert of Anjou and of the Pope Clément V. Robert being nominally his vassal, Henri sought to punish it while being combined in Frederic of Sicily but died of the malaria while going to his meeting. After its death, the imperial capacity was demolished in Italy.

The title of emperor, disputed by several applicants whose Frederic Ier de Habsbourg and Louis IV of Wittelsbach, was to remain vacant during most of the following decade, primarily because the Pope refused that the Prince-Voters ( Kurfürsten ) can elect the emperor without his approval.
