Its work

Less media than the other singers of his time, Henri Tachan is less one fine well-read man who, like Léo Ferré and so much of others, flirte with Verlaine, Rimbaud and Baudelaire. Its musical taste for Beethoven or Schubert feels in sonorities of its musics.

Unclassable singer, his songs with black humor hustle the entertainment world and denounces a vision of the “connery” and hypocritical bien-pensance. The topics which it approaches are those of the authors of these years: the army, the clergy, the middle-class men, the media and so much of others thus screened of the rebellion of this time while remaining of topicality. Other songs approach more tender topics, passing from its yells to its very favorites.

By his not very commercial side, Henri Tachan is absent from media. Television is unaware of it, certain radios still diffuses its songs but remains very minority as a whole.

Homages

Some celebrities paid homage to Tachan:

  • Crier is a remedy against the tears. To also sing, I think! When Tachan déboule in scene, small and black, étincelant like a break of anthracite, the butted face, the pointed glance, the lip in gutter; already in sweat, already foaming, I have each time the impression to see emerging a swirl, insane furious before even his exit of the torril… ” (Frederic Dart)

  • Initially Tachan, it is never of agreement! He criticizes all. Let us curetons, it has evil to frame them! There makes like Brel, it scoffs the middle-class men, it is not patriotic for two rounds… From there to say that it does not like the war, is that a step! It makes systematic provoc, it utters coarse words, one wonders whether it does it purposely… ” (Pierre Perret)

  • I like Tachan, insolate, triumphing. It knocks, it bites, it devastates, it ransacks, it cuts in parts, it stabs in full heart… He likes, I like it. ” (Serge Reggiani)

As well as a homage paid by the draftsmen of Charlie-Hebdo whose dispute, impertinence and the critical spirit are rather common characters with those of the songs of Tachan.
