Henri Suso
Henri Suso (1295-1366) is a known Christian monk to have spread the Rhenish Mystique of Maître Eckhart with Tauler. He was proclaimed happy in 1831, the only one of the three large disciples of the Dominican school of XIVe century.
He entered to the Dominican ones of Constancy at the time of his youth. He inflicted terrible Mortification S during more than twenty years. Its life was written by his/her spiritual daughter Elsbet Stagel. It followed the teaching of Eckhart to Strasbourg and Cologne. It wrote a Little book of the Truth in the inspiration of its Master.
It drew its reflections in the philosophical Spéculation and the acceptance of the tests of the life. He liked to be called the Serviteur of eternal Wisdom and seems one of the principal figures of spirituality at the end of the Middle Ages. He is quoted by Pie XII in his encyclical Haurietis Aquas.
