Henri Pawl-Pleyel is a Compositeur French born the March 12th 1894 with Paris, and died in this same city the May 9th 1963.
It makes its musical studies with the Academy of Paris and has as professors: Andre Gedalge and Eugene Cools for the counterpoint and the Running away. He learns the composition with Charles Koechlin.
He begins as chief from song to the casinos from Cannes, Deauville and Aix-the-Baths. In 1923, with three young musicians, Henri Sauguet, Roger Désormière and Maxime Jacob, it founds the École of Arcueil, since Erik Satie lives this commune. The musicians of this group are marked by the same desire of clearness and simplicity, and wish to maintain the music French in the tradition. Humor being, also, a French quality, the name of Satie appeared to them rather well to summarize their intentions. Unfortunately, the group will not survive the disappearance of Satie in 1925.
