Henri Michel , born the October 29th 1947 with Aix-en-Provence, is a former professional footballer who evolved/moved in the middle of ground and current trainer of L equips with Morocco of Football. It was selector of the team of France Hopes (Olympic champion in 1984), of the team of France and several African selections.
Career
After a formation with the club of Aix-en-Provence, Henri Michel arrives at Nantes in 1966, year of the second title of the Canaries, club where it will carry out all his career of player. He is briefly trainer of the Greek club of Aris Salonique before becoming selector of the team of Tunisia (2001-2002) after the eliminating heats of the World cup 2002 in Japan (elimination with the 1st turn). He will become then trainer of the Raja de Casablanca, one of the largest Moroccan clubs, with which he will be champion of Morocco (2004) and champion of Africa of the clubs (2003). He is again selector of a African team in 2004, the team of Ivory Coast, with which in 2006 he is finalist of the Coupe of Africa of the Nations and that he qualifies for the World cup 2006. He then briefly involves a club of Qatar, Al Arabi Doha, before becoming in 2007 trainer of the Egyptian club of the Zamalek.
He resigns of his functions in the large Egyptian club in August 2007 to join the national selection of the Morocco.
