Henri Manhès

Henri Manhès , born on June 9th, 1889 with Étampes, and deceased with Nice on June 24th, 1959 was a Résistant French.

Before the Second world war, he is member of the cabinet of Pierre Cot with the ministry for the air, where he meets Jean Moulin.

In 1942, Jean Moulin charges it with contacts in northern zone. It contacts Those of Resistance.

Off-set to Buchenwald, it directs with Marcel Paul the Comité of the French interests in the camp

In October 1945, it creates with Marcel Paul the National federation of the deportees and internees resistant and patriots (FNDIRP).

He was Commandeur of the Legion of honor, Compagnon of the Release, holder of the Military Cross 1914-1918, the Military Cross 1939-1945, the Medal of the Resistance and the Medal of the Escaped prisoners (inter alia decorations).
