Henri Joseph Perrotin Anastase

Henri Joseph Anastase Perrotin (December 19th 1845 - February 29th 1904) was a Astronome French. Certain sources give him like second first name Athanase .

At the beginning of its career, itself and Guillaume Bigourdan were assistants of Felix Tisserand with the Observatoire of Toulouse. Later, he was director of the Observatoire of Nice of 1884 until his death. He made observations of Mars and tried to determine the period of rotation of Venus. He also calculated the disturbances of the orbit of (4) Vesta.

In the literature, it is sometimes called Henri Perrotin and sometimes Joseph Perrotin (although that is only one and even nobody). Its discoveries of Astéroïde S are allotted by the Minor Planet Center to " J. Perrotin".

The crater Perrotin over Mars was named in its honor, as well as the asteroid (1515) Perrotin.
