Soon their zeal is made Persécuteur: they seize the church to establish their worship there; jetent outside the furnace bridge, the confessionals and the ornaments crowned. This spoliation however lasts only a time. Under the vehement complaints of the population to the royal authority, they are obliged to return the church.
The king having prohibited the worship Protesting in fear of see its divided kingdom, they obtain to openly practice their religion, them and their domesticity, but they do not fear to make benefit from this favor a great number of Protestants come under their protection to be established with the village Pavé with the doors of the Château of Blain. Royal authority prohibited soon these assemblies. They are forced to vary the place of their meetings which are done in the big room of the castle, or in the vault, or the room of the seneshal; sometimes outwards, with the Hotel of the Hat-Red, sometimes further, in Fresnay in Plessé, dependence of Rohan. Henri extends his fanaticism in all the surrounding country. He throws terror everywhere where he passes with his men-at-arms. With his approach (1568) with Chateaubriant, one hides the crosses, the ornaments, the sacred vessels.
