Henri Gauthier (Egyptologist)

Henri Gauthier (born in 1877 and died in 1950) is a Egyptologist French.
Raise Victor Loret with Lyon of 1897 to 1900, then of Erman to Berlin, it entered in 1903 to the French Institut of oriental archeology of Cairo. It carried out then excavations with Dra Abou el-Naga and El-Qattah. Then it was devoted to work concerning the historical and geographical questions. He worked with Gaston Maspero which required of him to copy the inscriptions of the temples Nubie NS of Amada, Kalabchah and Ouadi Seboua.
