Henri Fargues , born the March 13rd 1757 with Saint-Jean-Foot-of-Port (the Low-Pyrenees), dead the September 24th 1804 with Auteuil, is a French politician.

Fargues deals with commercial businesses in Spain, before being appointed mayor of Saint-Jean-Foot-of-Port, where he becomes shortly after Justice of the Peace. The March 7th 1793, France declares the war in Spain, and Fargues enters the army, where it is distinguished, creating the Basque Chasseurs. Stopped under the Terror, it is slackened almost at once on word. Become president of the directory of his department, he is elected the 23 Vendémiaire An IV, by 237 votes out of 283 voters, deputy of the Low-Pyrenees to the Conseil of the Five hundred. The 25 Germinal Year VII, it enters to the Conseil of Old the, where it collaborates in the Coup d'etat of the 18 brumaire, which carries the general Bonaparte to the capacity.

The 19 Brumaire, it belongs to the intermediate commission in charge of the legislative power, before being named, the 3 Nivôse An VIII member of the preserving Senate, of which he becomes treasurer in 1803. A little later it chairs the electoral college of the department of the Low-Pyrenees. It is made knight of the Légion of honor the 9 Vendémiaire An XII, commander the 25 Prairial of the same year.

He dies suddenly in Auteuil on September 24th, 1804. After his death, his/her son becomes intendant in Spain, sub-prefect of Autun, then prefect of the Haute-Marne.
