Henri Cart-track

Henri Cart-track (born the November 16th 1906 with Saint-Etienne-with-Lugdarès, Ardeche, France, and dead the July 29th 1973 with Madrid, Spain).
It is Henri Charrière who wrote the book Papillon but this book is not autobiographical since the author allotted several exploits of convicts among whom Charles Brunier and Rene Belbenoit.
The author of the book was condemned to the forced labors with perpetuity with the Bagne of Guyana after being judged for the murder of his friend Roland Legrand on October 28th, 1931, murder which he always denied besides.
The book Papillon (1969) had a great best-seller, success which has occurred after that of the “ Astragale ” which told the escape from Albertine Sarrazin. The author will publish the continuation of his post-prison adventures in the book Banco .
An American film adaptation of the book was turned: the film of Franklin J. Schaffner joins together Steve McQueen in the role of Butterfly and Dustin Hoffman.
