Henri Brugère
The Général Henri Joseph Brugère is a soldier French, born with Uzerche (Corrèze) the June 27th 1841.
Polytechnic graduate of in 1859, then with the School of application in 1861. Lieutenant in 1863 with the 9 {{E}} RA assembled, then with the 2 {{Nd}} in 1864.

In 1879, it is named at the military household of President Grévy. It will remain in this function until in 1892, under Presidents Grévy (1879-1887) and Carnot (1887 - 1894), and acquiring there the ranks of Lieutenant Colonel (1880), Colonel (1882), Brigadier general (1887) and major general (1891). During this period it obtains moreover to take part in the forwarding of Tunisia as commander the artillery, posts from which it can inform President Grévy. During its period of chief of police it obtains also the command of the artillery regiment of Vincennes and the possibility of remaining in station in the Elysium.
In 1888, it is reached of a shot in top of the left thigh at the time of presidential huntings in Rambouillet (deep wound of 30 cm).
Order the 12 {{E}} DI in 1892, then the 8 {{E}} CA in 1893. Passes to the 2 {{E}} CA in 1897. Of 1899 with 1900 it is military Gouverneur of Paris. Member of the CSG in 1898, it becomes the VP in 1900 about it.

In 1917, it will have to direct the board of inquiry made up after the failure of the offensive Nivelle, on the Way of the Ladies.
