Henri Bosco

Henri Bosco (Avignon, November 16th 1888 - Nice, May 4th 1976) is a novelist French.

Biography

He was born in 1888 in Avignon, in pontifical the old working. Of stock of Provence and Italian, its family is related with saint Jean Bosco, the founder of Salésiens. Bosco prepares the Italian aggregation at the Institute of Florence. He is professor in Avignon, with Borough-in-Bresse, Philippeville. The war does not make him leave the Mediterranean ciels. It makes countryside with the Dardanelles, in Macedonia, Greece. Returned peace, it spends ten years to the French Institute of Naples. It written there, in 1924, its first book, Pierre Lampedouze . Later, it passes another long part of its life to the Morocco as a professor to the college of Rabat. Arrived at the retirement age, it shares its life between Nice and Lourmarin. He dies in 1976. Its Romance S for adults or children constitutes a significant evocation of the life of Provence. In 1968, it received the price of literature of the French Academy for the whole of its work.
