Henri Barboux

Henri Barboux (September 24th 1834 with Chateauroux - April 25th 1910 with Paris) is a French lawyer.

He is in particular the lawyer of Sarah Bernhardt, at the time of the lawsuit which opposes it to the Comédie-Française, and that of Ferdinand de Lesseps, at the time of the Scandale of Panama. He is elected member of the French Academy in 1907. He is also collaborator of the political and parliamentary Revue and chair republican liberal Union. Its Speech and pleas were joined together in three volumes and were published in 1889-90.
