Henri Antoine Révoil is a Architecte French born in 1822 with Aix-en-Provence.

Biography

With fact its studies in the Art schools of Paris until in 1842; in 1849, it returns in the South of France and becomes Architecte as a chief of the historic buildings and in 1852 it is named Architecte diocesan and for this reason it built many néo-medieval buildings of style.

In 1874, it takes the direction of the Cathédrale of the Major to Marseilles.

He worked on many buildings in the South of France as the frontage of the church of the Madeleine of Aix-en-Provence where he also drew the " Small Séminaire" and the Convent of the Carmelite nuns and her vault (current Vauvenargues Colleges) the church Saint-Trophime of Arles, the Abbey of Silvacane, the Abbey of Thoronet, the Cathedral Our-Lady-and-Saint-Beaver of Nimes and on part of the Palate of the Popes. With Charles Questel it directed excavations, consolidated and restored the Gallo-Roman monuments in particular with Orange and Arles.

Révoil was a careful architect in his restorations.
