Henri Alekan , born the February 10th 1909 and dead the June 15th 2001, is one of largest the chiefs operators French. BiographyBorn in Paris, Henri Alekan studies with the Conservatoire national of arts and trades, then with the Institut of optics, while following the practical courses of Pathé - Cinema. Assistant operator of 1928 with 1940 (in particular of the chief operator Eugen Schüfftan), it acquires the celebrity with the Libération with the Battle of the rail of Rene Clément (1946), in the style Documentaire, and, the same year, with the Beautiful one and the Animal , of Jean Cocteau, in the style Fantastique.
