Henri-Loritz college

The scientific and technological college regional Henri-Loritz is a public corporation, and one of the most famous colleges of Nancy. It was founded by Henri Loritz in 1844. Currently, the college forms nearly 2000 pupils, of the second, with vat +2.

History

Founded on October first 1844 by a Nancy citizen: Henri Loritz, the college bore at the origin the name of boarding school Callot , and gave then on the street of the Green Carpet (currently Batt chocolate factory). In 1881, its successor André Tabellion must be solved with a reorganization of the school. A joint stock company, gathering most of notable of the area, is born under name Vocational school of the East. The buildings of the Nancy architect Emile André are always used, even if they were increased and modernized.

The statue bronzes which decorates the court goes back to 1906, and is the work of Ernest Bussière. The right wall of the hall comprises the name of 203 of the pupils and the collaborators of the college died during the First World War.
