Henri-Gabriel Ibels (Paris 1867 - 1936) is a French painter. He was pupil with the Académie Julian, he become acquainted there with Bonnard, Edouard Vuillard, Maurice Denis, Paul-Elie Ranson and Paul Sérusier which sets up the group of the Nabis around the Talisman . Called the " Nabi journalist " for his interest towards the social life, political illustrator, spending his time in the newspapers, was one of the Masters of the poster and the drawing. Since 1890 he collaborates in the Père Peinard , sheet proletarian of the anarchist Emile Pouget, with the Anarchistic Review of his André brother, with the number of the Feather devoted to anarchy, with the Mirliton , the Skirmish , the White Review , the Cry of Paris , the French Mail , the Echo of Paris , the Whistle which he created to defend Dreyfus.
