Henniez () is a mark of mineral water produced in the commune of Henniez, in the canton of Vaud, in Suisse.

Henniez is a family and independent company. In 2006, it occupies 301 collaborators. Its consolidated turnover (2006) rises to 152,1 million Swiss francs for a volume of 176,6 million liters of mineral water, fruit juice and sodas. The mark is the leader in Switzerland with 17% of the market shares of mineral water.

History

The Henniez source spouts out on a slope of the valley of the Broye. She was discovered by the Romans into 50 before Jesus-Christ.

The first installation of congestion is brought into service in 1905 by the Company of the baths and water of Henniez. The mineral water is produced under the name of Henniez Lithinée.

In 1930, a veterinary surgeon and business man of the place buys a source close and founded the company Henniez Santé.

In 1978, Henniez Lithinée buys Henniez Santé and creates the Medicinal springs of Henniez SA. The company is directed by the Rouge family.

Marks

The company also produces the Cristalp mark, like X-drink.

Henniez carries out the congestion for Switzerland of the following marks: Granini, Hohes C, Vichy Célestin, Virgin Cola and Virgin Ice Tea.

In Swiss, Henniez became a generic name, synonymous with mineral water.

Anecdote

During the heat wave of 2003, the company beats its daily record of sold bottles: the June 20th, it runs out 1,84 million bottles.
