  • 1876 Foundation with Aachen by Fritz Henkel
  • 1886 Opening of the first office of export to Vienna (Austria)
  • 1898 Hans Schwarzkopf opens a small hardware store in Berlin (subsidiary since 1995)
  • 1900 Beginning of the production activities with Düsseldorf - Holthausen
  • 1903 Creation of the 1st capillary Shampooing by the company Schwarzkopf
  • 1907 Parsley Setting on sale, first autoréactive Lessive of the world according to Henkel
  • 1922 Beginning of the production of the adhesives of synthesis
  • 1929 Marketing of the first adhesive of synthesis with the world
  • 1945 Expropriation by Soviet Union of the factory Parsley in Genthin (GDR)
  • 1948 Introduction of Poly Color (shampoo of coloring)
  • 1954 Setting on sale of the Soap of toilet F

  • 1975 Henkel becomes Limited partnership with share capitals

  • 1990 Réappropriation of the Persil factory following the fall of the Berlin Wall
  • 1995 Henkel repurchases Schwarzkopf
  • 1997 Resumption of Loctite, Henkel becomes, according to its own indications, the world leader of the adhesives
  • 1999 Dissociation of the branch of the chemicals and setting in legal independence under the name of company Cognis
  • 2001 Cognis is sold with a group of investment.
  • 2002 Henkel realizes for the first time under the slogan " Henkel - has Brand like has Friend" and with a new institutional image a coherent world appearance on stage of the group
  • 2004 Acquisition of Dial Corporation (Scottsdale/Arizona, the USA) representing the largest O.P.A. of the history of the company
