Hemidactylus frenatus

This gecko originating at the beginning in the south-east of the Asia is a large traveller, who settled at many places.

Its natural habitat is the tropical forests, but it adapted to the human dwellings.

This Espèce can live nearly ten years.

Geographical distribution

Originating in the south-east of Asia, one meets now this Espèce in many places like the Africa, the America, and in Oceania and neighborhood (Indonesia, Australia, Madagascar, Ile of the Meeting…). One also meets it in the south of the France.

Food

It is insectivorous which consumes the majority of the Insecte S of adapted size. When he attends the dwellings, it is a predator of the mosquito S and even of the cockroach S.

Behavior

The males are territorial. They cannot thus cohabit in same the Terrarium.
