Helvetica is a Bill of character created in 1957.
The graphic designer inhabitant of Zurich max Miedinger had drawn this police force with the so pure features whereas it was employed for Haas Bureau, with Basle. Initially named Haas Grotesk , the character took its final name in 1960.
A study carried out at the beginning of the Années 1980 revealed that Helvetica was then the police force most used in France, in front of Univers which is used in the Western Pays.
