Origin

Helvetia is the name of an old Roman area located in the plate between the the Alps and the the Jura. Today, this area is on the territory of the Suisse.

In 100 av. J. - C. approximately, a group called the Helvètes emigrated of the south of the Germany towards current Switzerland but ran up, in the progression towards the south, with the armies of Jules César. The Romain S founded the province of Helvetia in 15 av. J. - C. approximately. This area was relatively calm and prosperous until the invasion of the Germains in 256 and reprocesses it Roman troops.
