Helno

Helno is one of the members of the group French, the Green Négresses.

No5el Rota of his true name, of origin Italy, born in Suburbs Paris ienne a December 25th 1963, Helno starts at the beginning of the the Eighties by belonging to the Bérurier Noir, not as a Chanteur or Musicien, but charged to make the choruses on certain titles and to make the smart alec on scene during their concerts in small rooms.

In 1987, it founds its own group, the “Negresses Green”, group who is a great success at the time, until his death, playing Olympia and even abroad, in particular in England and with Tokyo with the Japan.

The January 22nd 1993, it dies in his/her mother (that it forever known to leave) of a Overdose, in the 19th Arrondissement of Paris. The Green Negresses do not have any more a singer.

Some time before its death he declares: “… I have full buddies who committed suicide. I can quote a package of people whom one knew with the Markets and which are not there any more. Similar in my city; friends of childhood. I have of it more much. AIDS, suicides, overdoses. It is what you have quiet when you raise the curtain of a small city. I often manage from there to think that if the hell exists, it is here on Earth. One is in full inside. Any human being which has sensitivity wants of foutre of the mouth…” .

It is buried with Pantin in Seine-Saint-Denis. The singer and friend of Helno Manu Chao dedicated a song to him, " Helno is mort" , on its Siberia album-delivers to me was told , left in 2004.
