Helle
In the Greek Mythology, Hellé (in Greek old Ἕλλη / Hellê ), girl of the king Athamas and Néphélé, is the sister of Phrixos.
Whereas itself and his/her brother fled through the airs on the back of the ram to the Golden Fleece to escape their mother-in-law Ino, Hellé fell into the sea and drowned.
It is according to this legend that the Hellespont was named, “the sea of Hellé” (ajourd' today Dardanelles).
According to a tradition brought back by Valerius Flaccus, Hellé becomes then a protective marine divinity.
