Hellblazer

Hellblazer is a Comic-book reporting the mysterious investigations of John Constantine, detective of the Paranormal initially created by Alan Moore in the pages of Swamp Thing ( the Creature of the Marsh ). Hellblazer is currently published in the collection Vertigo, line " adulte" of the editor cd. Comics.

Synopsis

Of English origin, Constantine is presented in the form of a kind of antipathetic and unpleasant anti-hero. Its abusive consumption of tobacco intends it for a nearest death.

Poured in the Occultism, Constantine often thwarted the plans of Satan and its Démons by beating them with their own play of the trick and the fraud. Blasé, nonchalant, nothing seem to be able to reach it or impress it, except the cancer which corrodes the lungs to him.

To note

One can see in Constantine a kind of version trash of the Dr. Strange of the editions Marvel Comics. In the beginning, Alan Moore wished to make of it a Sosie of the singer Sting, before multiple draftsmen do not make it evolve/move thereafter.

Hardware Time and The Hard Goodbye is regarded as two of the best episodes of the series.

In 1995, Glenn Fabry accepted the Eisner Award Meilleur artist of cover (Best Cover Artist) for his work on the series.
