Hell Spoils Bridge
The Hell Gate Bridge is a bridge ferroriaire crossing the East River with New York. Of length a 310 m and made up of a arch out of steel, this bridge connects the Queens to Randall' S Island and Ward' S Island.
This bridge is used by various companies ferroriaires (Amtrak, Canadian Pacific…) like by the Subway-North Railroad.
Hell Gate is parallel to the Triborough Bridge.
The design of the bridge dates from the beginning of the XXème century under the control of Gustav Lindenthal. Work was completed on September 30th, 1916. It was the longest bridge with steel arch until 1932, date of the opening of the Bayonne Bridge.
