Hell\' S Angels

The Hell' S Angels Motorcycle Club (literally " Motor bike-club of the Angels of the enfer") is a group of motorcyclists, commonly called: Biker, credit in the whole world. Are called " couleurs" , emblems and names of the countries, visible with the back of the leather jackets which they carry. This club is governed by strict rules observed by all the members, this paradoxically, in order to guarantee the individual freedom of each one. The applicants pass by various stages intended to train for a share the beginner, and in addition to make the knowledge with most intimate of the newcomer in order to determining if it will be able to achieve the unanimity of the members of the club which will accommodate it. One of the characteristics of the control of the members, is the standpoint to with dimensions their brothers (it is as that which they are called between them) in all circumstances, whom they have wrong or reason. In the same way, very reached with the integrity of the club, is repressed, in a violent way if it is needed. It is partly, this attitude of aggressive defense, which explains the bad reputation of the club. As for all the groups of people, the proportion the marginal ones is representative of a micro company. With the Canada, several of its members are criminals condemned for murder and drug trafficking, inter alia. The current chief of the Québécois chapter, the Nomads, is Maurice Boucher, which is imprisoned with the Quebec. In the United States, the government tried on several occasions to put an end to the activity of the club, by using all the possible, unquestionable manners same illegal, and of many lawsuits ended in nonplaces and releases. In Holland and Germany, the governments also tried to make prohibit the movement without never arriving there.

History

  • In 1948: creation of the first chapter with San Bernardino California.
  • In 1957: Ralph Sony Barger founds the chapter of Oakland, California. One regards this chapter as the general headquarter of the international organization.
  • the December 6th 1969: Hell' S Angels are called by the Rolling Stones to hold the safety of sadly celebrates festival of Altamont. Towards the end in the concert, a spectator, Meredith Hunter, hold up an handgun in direction of the scene. While frightened crowd ebbs, Alan Passaro, Hell' S Angel member of safety, intervenes and disarms the exaggerated one by seizing the armed wrist to him on the one hand, and by stabbing the shoulder to him. Badly reported by the media of the time, the incident will sit the difficult reputation of the club (it remains that the " forcené" died and that Hell' S Angel profited from the self-defense by the popular jury, even if it does not make aucuns doubts about the fact that the gun was left before the stab). This scene was filmed and can be seen on documentary the Gimme Shelter.
  • the December 5th 1977: thirty-five members of the Popeyes adopt the colors of Hell' S Angels and form the first Canadian chapter of the organization with Sorel, Quebec.
  • August 14th 1979: creation of the chapter of Laval, Quebec.
  • July 23rd 1983: Hell' S Angels found three chapters in Colombia-British with Vancouver, White Rock and Nanaimo.
  • December 22nd 1983: creation of the chapter of the east of Vancouver (in the district East End).
  • December 5th 1984: creation of the chapters of Sherbrooke and Halifax.
  • May 1st 1987: Maurice Boucher (called Mom ) becomes member in rule of Hell' S Angels.
  • June 13rd 1987: creation of the chapter of Haney, as a Colombia-British.
  • August 1994: a police report of the wearing of Vancouver reveals the existence of a network of importation of drug. According to certain estimates, Hell' S Angels would control an annual market of more than one billion dollar CA No arrest nor charge will not be carried.
  • the December 9th 1994: Maurice Boucher founds a first chapter Nomads in Quebec (at Hell' S Angels, these chapters do not have geographical fastener), which was going soon to become the most powerful chapter in Canada.
  • August 9th 1995: with most extremely out of the war of the motorcyclists, a 11 year old little boy, Daniel Desrochers, is killed with Montreal at the time of a Attentat with the bomb. Scandalized, the public opinion claims more actions against the motorcyclists.
  • September 23rd 1995: creation of the section Carcajou. It is about a police unit especially intended to counter Hell' S Angels. It exists thanks to a partnership between the Sûreté of Quebec, GRC and the police bodies local.
  • May 1997: Adoption of the first Canadian commando law conceived to fight the gangs of criminalized motorcyclists, law for which Josée-Anne Desrochers following death had fought, in 1995, of his/her Daniel son.
  • July 27th 1997: Hell' S Angels found new chapters with Edmonton and Calgary.
  • December 18th 1997: Maurice “Mom” Butcher is stopped and accused of the murder of the two prison warders.
  • June 1998: Creation in Ontario of a special brigade of investigation into the motorcyclists. Restructured in 2000, the brigade will be renamed “Unit of fight against the bands of motorcyclists” (ULBM).
  • July 23rd 1998: Creation of the chapter of Burnaby as a Colombia-British
  • Spring 1999: The Section Carcajou lance the Rush project. The objective of the operation is to dismantle the network of Hell' S Angels in Quebec.
  • July 21st 2000: with Winnipeg, Los Bravos become a potential chapter of Hell' S Angels.
  • September 2000: Attempted murder financed by Hell' S against the legal journalist Michel Auger of the Newspaper of Montreal.
  • January 2002: The commando Law C-24, voted to fight the gangs of criminalized motorcyclists, between into force.
  • May 5th 2002: Verdict of guilty against Maurice Butcher for the murder of the two prison warders. He is condemned to the prison with perpetuity. The war of the motorcyclists will have made in eight years 174 dead (including nine innocent victims), 16 missings and 181 attempted murders.
  • August 2004: The chapter Nomads of Quebec closes its doors
  • In 2007 the chapter of Oakland, California celebrates its fifty years of existence
  • In 2008 the club will celebrate its sixty years of existence. Hell' S Angels are present on the five continents, and have representatives in about all the countries of the world.
