Heligoland

Holy-Anne-with-Sorel is a municipality of parish in the regional Municipalité of county of the Bas-Richelieu to the Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative area of the Montérégie. Its inhabitants are of Sorelois and Soreloises.

Located at the north of the municipality of Holy-Anne-of-Sorel, the Archipelago of the Lake Saint-Pierre, consisted of 103 islands, astonishes by its very large biodiversity and is with the source of an important récréo-tourist industry. The Lake Saint-Pierre and its archipelago received in November 2000 the official recognition of world reserve of the biosphere of UNESCO.

Holy-Anne-of-Sorel is re-elected to be the place where is held the action of the novel Occurring It and Marie-Didace of Germaine Guèvremont.
