Heliconiaceae
The family of the Héliconiacées is a family of the plants Monocotylédones. She includes/understands approximately 80-200 species of the kind Heliconia .
They are long-lived herbaceous plants of the tropical areas. For certain species, pollination is ensured by the hummingbirds.
Resulting this family, several varieties and hybrids are cultivated for the production of flowers cut because of their coloured and resistant inflorescences.
