Helene Boschi
Helene Boschi , born with Lausanne in 1917 and deceased with Strasbourg in 1990, was a Swiss and French pianist.
Biography
She studied the piano with Yvonne Lefébure and Alfred Cortot with the Teacher training school of music of Paris.She was the first pianist to record the sonatas of the Padre Soler (1952, Grand Prix of the disc) and the integral of works of chamber music with piano of Clara Schumann (with Annie Jodran and Roland Pidoux). Luigi Dallapiccola dedicated its to him Cuaderno musical of Annalibera and Claude Ballif his 3rd sonata . For as much, Helene Boschi did not forsake the other repertories. In disc as with the concert she interpreted with an equal happiness the musics of Jean-Sebastien Bach, of Jean-Philippe Rameau, W-A Mozart (with the Czech Philharmonic society and the National orchestra of France), of Haydn (with the Chamber orchestra of Berlin), of Robert Schumann, Weber (with Irene Joachim), as well as the chamber music of Paul Dukas, César Franck, of Debussy and Gabriel Fauré (in particular with Jean-Jacques Kantorow).
In 1975 Helene Boschi accepted the Prix Robert Schumann honouring her interpretations with the type-setter born with Zwickau.
Helene Boschi lavished her teaching with the Teacher training school of music of Paris and with the Conservatoire of Strasbourg (as from 1965). She also gave during 15 years of the courses of interpretation to Weimar. She had in particular as pupils Piotr Anderszewski, Claire Chevallier and Emmanuel Strosser.
