Heisman Trophy
The Heisman Trophy is a trophy given to the best university player NCAA of American football since 1935. Archie Griffin is the only player to have gained twice this price in 1974 and 1975.
Given in December before the period of the bowls, The Heisman is the most prestigious individual trophy of the university American football in the United States. Never a first or a second year did not gain this trophy and a handle of third year only carried out this performance. Heisman is a trophy which more often crowns of the quarterbacks or of the running backs. Rare are those which touched the bronze statuette while evolving/moving at defensive stations.
The system of election of the winner implies the whole of the the United States through six great areas: west, Mid Atlantic , Mid West , the North-East, south and south-west. Each area has 145 votes of media, that is to say a national total of 870 votes. Moreover, all the former winners of the trophy can vote. Each voter names three players. The first marks three points, the second marks two of them, and the last one. The points of the voters all are compiled, and the player who is credited with the greatest number of points receives the trophy.
