Heimo

HEIMO is a German company which manufactures automats for amusement parks. It realizes inter alia decorations with special effects, Animatronique S, automated spectacles and Dark wrinkles S interactives.

History

All started in 1944 with Anneliese Mordelt which, during the Second world war, manufactured headstocks with hair of Cheval that it exchanged against of the goods of ration to nourish her children. In 1945, Heinz Mordelt of constant return of the war its wife in these creations while dealing for its part with the commercial part of the company. Heimo had just been born. It is starting from 1951 that machine elements were added to the headstocks to animate them. The prosperous company and in 1958 it counts already 20 employees. They settle with Jagsthausen. The technology of their Animatronique S develops, they integrate now electronics, the mouvement' diversify and become more complex. Their catalog also extends (historical characters, prehistoric animals,…). In 1979, the company employs 50 people. Currently, they are Karl-Heinz and Olaf Mordelt which is with the head of this company.
